Best Way to Treat Vertigo Naturally

If you ever experience dizziness then there's a chance you could be dealing with benign positional vertigo or BPV as it is sometimes called for short. This condition will come about when you move your head in a certain direction in a fast manner. Any quick tilt of your head can cause the feelings of vertigo to come about in no time. Not only do you feel dizzy but you also feel like you don't know where your feet are located when the episode of vertigo hits you.

The symptoms of vertigo are many and they include nausea, vomiting, loss of balance, dizziness, and more. These symptoms can be mild and they can also be pretty severe. The dizzy episodes that this condition causes can leave you in a short time or they can last for a few minutes or longer. The good news is the fact there are different things you can do to stop the symptoms of this condition and get your life back in control. Some people turn to medications while other people turn to exercises to help stop the symptoms of vertigo.

Before we get into treatments we'll briefly talk about what actually causes vertigo to develop in the first place. Your inner ear has 3 semicircular canals that can sense rotation and movement of your head and sometimes calcium granules get stuck in them causing an imbalance. These granules usually get stuck in the inner ear canals when they get pulled by gravity or acceleration. When this imbalance in the inner ear occurs it will cause injury, infection, and a loss of blood. When this happens your brain will begin sending signals that your body is rotating when actually it is just tilted upward or downward.

In order to start treating vertigo you will need to get diagnosed properly. The diagnosis of vertigo will start by your doctor asking you various questions and then performing various tests. Tests such as hearing, reflexes, vision, and head movements will be implemented in order to determine if you are in fact suffering from vertigo or not. The most important question the doctor will ask is when did the dizzy spells start happening.

Once the doctor diagnosis a patient with vertigo a number of different medications or exercises will be considered for treatment. Sometimes the doctor will recommend no treatment at all if they feel that the vertigo will go away on its own. However, the doctor will still monitor the symptoms carefully and adjust as time passes.
